'Despacito' tops YouTube list of 2017's most-viewed music videos

YouTube is hiring more people to help curb videos that violate its policies.

The company is recruiting thousands of reviewers to reduce the amount of "problematic content" on its video platform.

It took "Despacito" just 204 days to become the most-watched video in YouTube history, the first to surpass 3 billion views and the only video to score more than 4 billion views, YouTube reports.

In a blog post, Wojcicki said the company was already taking "aggressive action" on comments, and was testing new systems to counter threats that combine human and automated checks.

Like every year, the time has finally arrived. Facebook in May said it would hire 3,000 more people to review videos and posts, and, later, another 1,000 to review ads after discovering Russian ads meant to influence the US presidential election.

Flynn Said Russian Sanctions Would be 'Ripped Up,' Whistle-Blower Says
According to the account, the unnamed whistleblower ran into Copson at a party in Washington, D.C. on inauguration day. The witness did not specify which sanctions Flynn was referring to in his texts.

"Since June, our trust and safety teams have manually reviewed almost two million videos for violent extremist content, helping train our machine-learning technology to identify similar videos in the future".

YouTube's troubles with policing have led to a demand for "brand safety" from advertisers who want to know exactly where their ads will end up.

More than 150,000 videos of violent extremism have been removed for the site in the past six months, she added.

Wojcicki said 180,000 people would have had to work 40 weeks to assess the same amount of content.

We will be waiting to see what changes are made by 2018 in the infrastructure.
