Jose Mourinho Pondering Luke Shaw Start Against CSKA Moscow

Jose Mourinho says Luke Shaw deserves a chance in the Manchester United team.

The sublime David De Gea produced a league record-equalling 14 saves to help United overcome Arsenal in north London, but, just as he did throughout last season's successful Europa League campaign and in last month's 1-0 defeat in Basel, will make way for his deputy Romero against a CSKA outfit missing five players.

Shaw has had a troubled time of things since joining Manchester United in 2014 from Southampton.

The defender has been eased in by Jose Mourinho since his £31 million move from Benfica in the summer.

City remain eight points clear at the top of the Premier League after snatching a third late victor in as many domestic games on Sunday and even have the chance to break the Premier League record for consecutive wins, held by Arsenal and Chelsea at 13, at Old Trafford next weekend.

He told a news conference on Monday: "Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and you have more eyes watching you". "Matic is injured and when I say he is injured, he is injured".

Lindelof endured a hard start to his United career and was criticised for his role in the 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield in October.

"I'd have to think", the manager said. Both have missed the last five games after suffering injuries during the global break, although Jones has now returned to training. Combine that with Pogba's raw brilliance and we could see something truly special. "Like I said, we're focused on this game and we want to get a god result there", he added.

"Playing at home we always have confidence and our fans behind us".

Russian Federation midfielder Alan Dzagoev was unaware United are on the cusp of equalling a club record of 40 successive home games unbeaten but is focused on the task at hand.

'Our young players will have something to learn from him playing in the game but at the same time we can not allow him to play at his best and show everything he is capable of'.
