The App Store goes Red for World Aids Day

First ladies lead fight against AIDS

This is the 10th year Starbucks has partnered with (RED) on World AIDS Day, contributing to date more than $14 million to the Global Fund.

This World AIDS Day, Apple celebrates a record year of giving with over $30 million raised to fight AIDS in 2017. And more than 400 Apple Stores will turn their logos red or display red Apple logo window decals for the week.

Apple has teamed up with the charity (RED) to release 20 new products ranging from iPhone cases to Apple Watch straps.

Apple has donated a massive amount of $160 million in past 11 years in order to fight the disease and ensured sufficient availability of funds for the project. We're committed to continuing the fight and empowering future generations through these vital efforts'.

This year Apple will mark World AIDS Day at its almost 500 retail stores with red Apple logos for the week.

Apple's (RED) endeavour has been a yearly effort that has managed to raise millions, both from Apple itself and via various promos. "'Its unwavering support can not be underestimated, and we thank every Apple employee for helping (RED) reach the milestone of half a billion dollars delivered to help end this disease", he added. Red donates the money it raises from Apple and others - over $500 million since its inception - to the Global Fund. With every booking, participating hotels will donate 30 percent of each package or rental rate to (RED)'s fight to end AIDS.

King, the maker of the popular Candy Crush matching game, will offer limited-edition bundles where all proceeds from in-app purchases will go to the Global Fund, a nonprofit organization that offers prevention, testing, treatment, counseling and care services to HIV and AIDS patients in developing countries.
