Donald Trump appears to forget USA national anthem

Trump Anthem

President Donald Trump took the field Monday night in Atlanta, GA, for the College Football National Championship game between the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama, mostly to cheers. Trump struggled to keep up with the rest of the crowd, and critics have charged that the President displayed a lack of knowledge of the anthem's lyrics. Whereas people against Trump were critical of him not singing along fully.

Trump insisted that the protesting footballers are "disrespecting" the flag and the anthem.

After the anthem, Trump left the field without saying anything.

People have accused the U.S. president of forgetting the words. He has publicly blasted several players a year ago for not respecting the anthem or the flag. Those in military uniform should salute.

Previous surveys have found that many American's don't know the full lyrics to the USA anthem, but for the United States president, a man who has attacked footballers for their actions during the anthem, his inability to sing the lyrics proved unpopular online.

Aravosis said: "This is priceless, as only 3 hours after he tweeted this Trump tried to sing the National Anthem and forgot the words". A few days ago, Twitter went into a meltdown when Trump was seen sip water from a glass using both his hands like a child. My colleague Drew Magary believes that there is "zero chance" that Trump could recite the lyrics upon request, citing to this clip in which Trump spend the song's entire first half merrily tapping his the hand along with the beat before coming to life when he realizes that it's time to start shouting about rockets and bombs again. Either way, a lot of people are harshly criticizing the President in light of recent comments he made by calling on National Football League owners to suspend players who disrespect the flag by kneeling during the anthem. In October 2017, he had also asked Vice President Mike Pence to leave an Indianapolis Colts game early after the players knelt during the National Anthem.
