European Union open to Brexit reversal - Tusk

UK Brexit Gegner in London

Donald Tusk has told Brits "our hearts are still open for you", marking yet another suggestion that the referendum result could be changed.

"The hardest work is still ahead of us and time is limited", he said, amid reports that member states are increasingly divided on how tough to be on Britain.

"In the future, Tusk suggests that the unity of the EU-27 should be maintained in "every scenario", and he personally has no doubt that this is going to be the case".

Picking up on Tusk's comment, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, whose executive arm is negotiating Britain's departure, added his endorsement: "He said that our door is still open".

MEPs in Strasbourg reserved particular derision for Mrs May's insistence that changing the colour of Britain's burgundy passports back to blue was an expression of post-Brexit "independence and sovereignty". According to the leaked draft of the Council's instructions to its negotiators, obtained by the Independent, the bloc would demand an explicit veto on British trade deals signed with other member countries for two years after Brexit.

He also warned a transitional period could not be taken for granted and "the cliff edge is far from being avoided". The former Ukip leader said another vote might be needed in order to secure the Brexit.

Pastor Blasts Trump's 'Shithole' Feedback In Entrance Of Mike Pence
Pence and his wife Karen were invited to the historically black church which was founded soon after the Emancipation Proclamation. I think the best way to honour Dr King's legacy is to speak up for and stand up for the values for which he spoke and stood.

"That was certainly not a reason to organise a referendum", he said. It would have to continue to obey all European regulations without having any say in the way this bloc of more than half a billion people is run.

A transition deal could not be "cherry picking".

The comments reveal a consensus across the European Union that Brexit is a colossal mistake for Britain, a major headache for the continent and a choice that Britons could reverse if only they can muster the political courage.

The EU free movement would also be extended until the end of the transition period and with no controls on immigration until 2021.

Among the most eye-catching of demands which diplomats have clarified is that European Union citizens arriving in Britain even after Brexit, during the transition, would be entitled to retain for life the rights now enjoyed by European Union expatriates. I would say that in 10 years' time the European Union will not exist and that will be a good thing...

His reassertion of the money that would become available for public services once the United Kingdom leaves the European Union came just days after arch Eurosceptic Nigel Farage conceded that a second vote could be the only way to shut down "Remoaners" for good. "And I hope very much that our European neighbours will want to keep us close and ensure we retain a European approach across Europe", he said.
