Pokemon GO Ending Support for Older Apple Devices in February

Pokemon GO Ending Support for More iPhones and iPads

Pokemon GO fans who are trying to catch 'em all on older iPhones and iPads will be disappointed to learn that the game will no longer work for those using devices that run on iOS versions older than 11. None of the devices listed above support iOS 11, which Apple released in September 2017.

These users will lose access to any in-app purchased items, unless they upgrade their hardware to continue playing. Alongside iPhone 5 and 5c, the iPad fourth, third, first generation and iPad 2 are also impacted. You'll want to use these six Pokemon with these move sets to stand the best possible chance of winning.

The update is scheduled for release on February 28. This comes almost a week after the third beta was released to the same party. Intel said its chips, which power Macs and devices from other manufacturers, contain the flaw, as do processors based on ARM Holdings architecture, which is used in iOS devices and Android smartphones.

Thinking of taking on Mewtwo in one of the new Exclusive Raid Battle feature? There's so many more players that have since given up on the EX Raids.

Currently Ex-Raid's are the only way for players to fight and capture Legendary Raid Boss Mewtwo.

The improvements involve a new AR Plus mode which takes advantage of the more advanced AR capabilities that were introduced with iOS 11 and ARKit.
