Trump walks back his willingness to testify in the Russian Federation investigation

Trump says 'We need the wall'

Echoing his Wednesday morning tweet, Trump decried what he is calling Robert Mueller's "witch hunt", also known as the investigation into Russian interference in the us election and any possible collusion between Trump, the Trump team, and and Russia.

Asked whether he would be willing to meet special counsel Robert Mueller, Trump deflected the question by repeatedly denying that investigators had found any evidence of collusion between his campaign team and Russian Federation. No administration officials have been questioned by Mueller in about a month, the person said.

At a press conference in the summer, Trump said he was "100%" willing to testify under oath about his conversations with James B. Comey, whom he fired as Federal Bureau of Investigation director in May.

Trump also railed against a frequent target, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

He continued, "When you talk about interviews, Hillary Clinton had an interview where she wasn't sworn in, she wasn't given the oath, they didn't take notes, they didn't record".

Asked at that June press conference whether he'd speak to Mueller, Trump told reporters he "would be glad to tell him exactly what I just told you". "And I respect that very much", she said. It's a Democrat hoax that was brought up as an excuse for losing an election that frankly the Democrats should have won because they had such a tremendous advantage in the electoral college.

Earlier Wednesday, Trump slammed the various investigations focused on the allegations of collusion between his campaign and the Russian government.

Mueller's investigation, as well as several House and Senate probes into Russia's election meddling, are still ongoing and have yielded no conclusive results.

"The witch hunt continues", Mr. Trump added, making clear his disdain for the investigation, which has resulted in a guilty plea against his former National Security Adviser for not telling the truth about contacts with Russian Federation, and an indictment against his former campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Papadopoulos and Flynn each pleaded guilty to one count of making false statements to investigators about their Russian Federation contacts.

"I'll see what happens".

As far as any potential interview with Mueller, Trump left things vague, saying "certainly, we'll see what happens" while intimating that it might not be necessary because the collusion is unsubstantiated. "We need the wall for stopping the drugs from coming in", Trump said when asked if he would sign a bill that didn't include funding for the wall.
