Women Accuse James Franco Of Sexual Misconduct

Violet Paley

I think that it's a good thing and I support it.

Paley noted that she was dating Franco when he got her alone in a vehicle one night. She also told the Times that the actor created an atmosphere where it felt like saying no to him wasn't an option.

Paley, who was not one of Franco's former students, told the Times she began a romantic relationship with Franco in early 2016 after he said he would help her with a script she had written. "Times up on that!"

Last night, January 10, Franco addressed the allegations on "Late Night With Seth Meyers".

Actress Ally Sheedy also tweeted during the Golden Globes that Franco was an example of why she left the film and television business, but she later removed that message.

James Franco speaks onstage during at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on July 26, 2017 in Beverly Hills, Calif. "Said too much." She later deleted the post.

CNN has reached out to the three women for comment.

Another former student said Franco would make people think they could get a role if they performed sexual favors or took off their shirts. The actor said he believes women's claims deserve to be heard and that he would not "actively refute" the allegations against him.

Franco spoke with Colbert Tuesday night about claims on social media, some of which were from women also interviewed by the L.A. Times, that he behaved inappropriately.

"I did read them, I haven't responded".

James Franco says he has his own side of the story when it comes to the sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him, but the actor says he is not going to share it. Franco suggests that he does not want to distract from the #MeToo movement. "I support it. I support change", he continued, speaking about the initiative.

Franco said he had "no idea" why Sheedy, whom he directed in a 2014 off-Broadway play, was upset. "If there is restitution to be made I will make it". "If I've done something wrong, I will fix it".

James: I don't know.

Ryan, the fifth accuser, met Franco at Playhouse West and took several classes with him.

When contacted by CNN, a representative for Dusome declined to offer further comment.

"[He] just took advantage of our eagerness to work and be a part of something bigger", Chmiel added. His classes were attended by actors looking for their first break, some of whom thought that break might come in one of the many low-budget projects Franco was constantly working on.

James Franco has been accused of sexually inappropriate or exploitative behavior by five women in the Los Angeles Times this morning. His attorney, Michael Plonsker, specifically said, "the allegations about the protective guards are not accurate".

CNN has not confirmed the women's accounts.

Franco is the latest high-profile figure in media and entertainment to face accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct. "Our instructors were excellent, student feedback was positive".

The renewed scrutiny on Franco comes four years after he apparently sent a series of text messages, posted on the image-sharing website Imgur, in which he seemed to try to seduce a 17-year-old Scottish girl he had met outside a Broadway theater in NY.
