A new season is here: the season of Girl Scout cookies.

The legalization of California's marijuana industry and start of Girl Scout cookie sales have created an opportune moment for at least one San Diego girl.

According to Fox 4, the young girl's father claims his daughter sold over 300 boxes of cookies in about six hours after she made a decision to sell boxes of the popular cookies outside Urbn Leaf.

"Operation Cookie Drop is one of our favorite initiatives because it gives girls an opportunity to give back to the men and women protecting our country", said Lisa Jones, CEO of GS-NCCP. The local San Diego chapter of the Girl Scouts told the site members can sell to the public if a guardian is present. "Bring them with - shopping is more fun with friends anyways", the company wrote.

Girl Scouts all across the nation started selling their famous cookies last month and will continue to do so, sometimes in front of marijuana dispensaries, through April.
