Liam Payne, Cheryl Cole may end relationship

While Cheryl has been very private about her personal life, she has spent her time here in the United Kingdom, choosing to stay out of the limelight while she takes care of their 11-month-old son, Bear.

The former One Direction and Girls Aloud stars have been spending more time apart.

As their baby son Bear " s first birthday approaches, shock claims have emerged that Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne could be about to SPLIT within the coming weeks after having "crisis talks' over their relationship.

The latest update, courtesy of The Sun, alleges that Liam has spoken with legal advisers about what would happen to the pair's assets if they were to split, but it's only a precaution and the couple still want to make it work.

It is alleged that 24-year-old Liam has been spending increasing lengths of time away from his 34-year-old partner and their 11-month-old son Bear recently, as he opts for showbiz events over cosy nights in and completes work on his debut solo album - not to mention promoting his work on the "Fifty Shades" soundtrack with Rita Ora. It's sensible to be prepared for all options. A source close to Payne said: "It's very sad, they tried very hard to make it work". With a young son and a number of assets between them, there is more to break up than just parting ways. "They're desperate to make a go at it, but it's absolutely on the rocks". Cheryl's always understood he'd have to work hard and be absent, but the reality's that it isn't an easy thing to deal with. "He hopes it doesn't come to it but he's just being careful". The relationship's hanging by a thread.

A source told the Daily Mail that the "new parents are struggling to find quality time together as they juggle their busy careers" and care for Bear. He is willing to do just about anything to win back Cheryl, he can not imagine his life now without her and his son; they're his everything'.
