Monster Hunter World Patch Fixes Squad Issues and Matchmaking

It was only a few days ago that we reported a whopping 1,591,356 units were from the PS4 version alone, according to Media Create sales figures.

Although Capcom left Xbox One out of the game's pre-launch betas and you couldn't find Xbox gameplay before launch, Monster Hunter World has seemingly managed to do well on Microsoft's platform regardless.

The game is now available on Xbox One and PS4, with a PC version coming later this year. Now, in order to better service fans of the game, the publisher and developer has put out the patch notes of a newly available update, and has provided a date for a highly anticipated Horizon: Zero Dawn crossover quest for PlayStation 4. It also became the fastest CAPCOM game to do so.

Since launch, it was hard for some players to either create a squad or join one. On the bright side, the damage of other bowgun ammo was increased.

Meanwhile, on PS4 the squad issue has been fixed, but as a result players who experienced the bug will have their data reset, and any players whose squad leaders have had their data reset will also have "any affiliated data disappear the next time they log in".

Among these is a fix for claiming the 5 Million Celebration Item Pack, the period for which you can now acquire it extended to 22nd February at 23: 59 UTC.

Starting off with the Fixes contained in Monster Hunter World Update we have some major fixes related to Squads that is for PlayStation 4 users. Some minor tweakings with the light bowgun, heavy bowgun, and ammo changes.

Decreased the power of Slicing Ammo, and reduced the effect it has when hitting other players. In a further nerf to Slicing ammo, players can now carry a maximum of 30 Slashberries on them at a time.

Readjusted the Elderseal calculation for dragon pods.

The Endemic Life problem regarding the disappearance of information has also been taken care off.

Fixed an issue where the assignment "Flying Sparks: Tobi-Kadachi" would not appear on the quest board after departing on a different quest in the middle of speaking with the Chief Botanist just before the quest is first assigned.
