Shaq's Son Shareef O'Neal Decommits from Arizona After Reported FBI Findings

"I would like to thank all the coaches for recruiting me".

On Friday night, ESPN's Mark Schlabach reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation wiretaps showed that Miller had multiple conversations with former ASM Sports employee Christian Hawkins about a $100,000 payment to secure the commitment of star freshman DeAndre Ayton.

Four-star Class of 2018 power forward Shareef O'Neal, the son of Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal, has opened up his recruitment and backed away from Arizona after signing with the Wildcats in November. However, so are programs like Kentucky and other big-name squads across the country, though O'Neal may want to wait to commit again until he sees how this FBI investigation plays out.

It's not surprising give the turmoil Arizona is going through, and will continue to go through as the university decides what to do with head coach Sean Miller and star player Deandre Ayton.

Brandon Williams' father said his family will discuss tonight whether or not Williams will decommit from Arizona Wildcats, which Shareef O'Neal already has.

Miller will not coach Arizona in Saturday's game vs. Oregon.

O'Neal originally committed to Arizona nearly two years ago, but he left himself some wiggle room after the FBI investigation first ensnared the Wildcats in September. Per 247 Sports, he is the No. 33 overall recruit for the class of 2018.
