Tom Hardy's 'Venom' trailer released

Bravura Tom Hardy gives a blood-chilling performance in a new teaser for Venom

As for the film's place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige has no plans for Venom. Sadly though, the teaser does not show much outside of just Tom Hardy's normal Eddie Brock human form. Today, a teaser trailer has been unleashed, and it really is a teaser trailer.

To be fair, there's certainly a lot to learn if you really dig into the 90 seconds or so of footage.

Because of the Oscar pedigree of stars Hardy and Michelle Williams, Venom isn't at all like what you'd expect. For now, check out the first teaser above. Yesterday, we got our first look at Josh Brolin's Cable in Deadpool 2, a film that audiences seem destined to love when it releases in three and a half months.

However, the first trailer for Venom movie offers very less information and teases some hints about the super hero's origin.

After news about Peter Parker appearing the movie came out, rumors about Venom also appearing in the movie spread like wildfire online, with many claiming that Hardy would be back to voice the character. One thing is for sure, though: we've got a killer cast to contend with, led by Tom Hardy, the multifaceted performer who can seemingly do just about anything.

Incoming The Spider Man spinoff- which stars Tom 40 as a supervillain opposite Michelle Williams- will be released on October 5

On Wednesday, however, Sony's social media relations reached out to Movie Web to confirm that Hardy would not appear in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse", and that Venom would not be featured in the film.

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" arrives in theaters on December 14.

While the Venom trailer looks promising, there was no glimpse of Hardy's Venom avatar.

Venom as a character is no stranger to bad odds and being a victim. While he's more often the villain, the character has swung into anti-hero from time to time.

Venom is set to hit cinemas on October 5.
