McDonough moving off MNF, back to college football for ESPN

ESPN has to replace Jon Gruden who left the network to become head coach of the Oakland Raiders

McDonough will be replaced by Joe Tessitore, according to reports but not confirmed by ESPN.

ESPN's "Monday Night Football" will have a brand new broadcast team in 2018. His assignments will include high-profile national games each week, as well as a College Football Playoff Semifinal. The veteran broadcaster signed a multiyear deal to stay with ESPN, where he'll remain a part of its college basketball and Masters coverage in addition to resuming a previous role on college football broadcasts.

ESPN's "Monday Night Football" booth is getting a total makeover.

McDonough, who has been with ESPN since 2000, was a top play-by-play voice on Saturday afternoon ABC college football before moving to MNF.

Clashes in West Bank leave Palestinian youth dead
Its status is one of the biggest obstacles to reaching a peace agreement. Israel says the entire city is its indivisible, and eternal capital.

McDonough said in a statement, "Being the "Voice of Monday Night Football" was one of the great honors of my life", but he said he missed college football.

The Post also reported Friday that Manning will pass on the ESPN offer, though he has made no public comments.

With the popularity of Tony Romo this past season on CBS, who was able to predict what offenses and defense were going to do, Manning would be seen as another quarterback that would serve the same goal.

With Jon Gruden leaving the booth to coach the Raiders, ESPN was already going to be making at least one change to their announcing team. With Peyton Manning saying no, ESPN has to decide whether to make another swing for the fences or to promote someone from within.
