Rescuers recover dead bodies after a small plane crashed into a house in Plaridel town Bulacan province Philippines

The plane, which was on its way to the northern city of Laoag, was carrying four passengers and the pilot, who were all killed in the crash, Aviation Authority spokesman, Eric Apolonio, said.

Apolonio said that six passengers were on board the aircraft when the incident happened.

All five Filipinos on board the six-seater plane were killed, and the crash killed five people on the ground, said Supt Julio Lizardo, the Plaridel police chief.

A small plane crashed into a house north of the Philippine capital on Saturday (Mar 17), killing 10 people, officials and media said.

The crash ignited a fire in a house that was hit by the aircraft, he said, and the other bodies were not found until the blaze was extinguished.

Rescuers are checking if there were other casualties in the burning house.
