Fortnite experiencing extended downtime after 'critical failure' with database

Fortnite Battle Royale reward game

The update is mostly comprised of fixes to issues introduced with update 3.5. Know more about this update!

Fortnite update 3.51, known as version 1.55 on PS4, has just arrived to fix some build-related bugs across Save The World and Battle Royale.

FORTNITE is DOWN after Epic Games confirmed that servers were offline for "emergency maintenance". As such, Epic Games want to try and make it up to you. How?

The outage has been acknowledged by Epic Games, the game's developer, but it said that it now didn't have a timeframe for when the game would be back up. The weapon was disabled temporarily by Epic Games due to the animation issues. Last week, newly researched evidence suggests that the in-game event will likely take place next week on April 18.

An issue where players' sprinting/walking animations were broken after firing a Guided Missile while doing these actions. Thankfully it's one of the easiest challenges, so long as you know where to look.

After this encounter, the developers have released one more patch for the game which doesn't seem to do anything with the same.

"With a suite of cinematic settings you can now capture your most memorable moments, highlights and cinematics", Epic said in the patch notes.

The extended downtime was noticed by Epic Games yesterday and they revealed in the first update that they are aware and it will be fixed soon. "In a measure towards resolution, matchmaking will be blocked for a short period", it wrote around 9pm Wednesday.

The folks behind "Fortnite" are real sorry their game was offline for almost 24 hours this week, from Wednesday evening to Thursday afternoon, and they're giving away free stuff as a means of making up for it. What's ironic here is that people flocked to Fortnite because they were sick with the problems with PUBG and now those roles have been reversed.
