Heartland leaders join in tributes to Barbara Bush

President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush reflected on the life and legacy of Barbara Bush, the fiercely devoted former first lady best known for her candor who died on Tuesday at age 92, calling it the "end of a handsome life". Her warmth and compassion won't soon be forgotten and we will honor her and all she did for the country.

"I'm forever grateful for her for treating us like we're family", he said. "When I tell this to my children, they just about throw up". He says he's at peace with his mother's death because his mother "was at peace". "She projected dignity and strength throughout the Bush family's incredible commitment to public service".

With her husband as vice president in the 1980s, Bush adopted literacy as a cause, raising awareness and eventually launching the nonprofit Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. She also leaves behind her husband, former President George H.W. Bush. "My prayers are with the Bush family". In one of her last interviews, the former first lady said in early 2016 she was "sick" of Trump, who belittled her son repeatedly during the 2016 GOP primary campaign, adding that she doesn't "understand why people are for him".

Barbara and H.W. were married for 73 years, the longest marriage of any American presidential couple. Bush's pearls, after all, became synonymous with her own soft power in the political sphere. She loved our country nearly as much as she loved her family.

He adds: "So cross the Bushes off your worry list".

After World War II, the Bushes moved to the Texas oil patch to seek their fortune and raise a family.

British embassy spokesman Andrew Overton says Wednesday that Darroch also issued a statement that said the United Kingdom government is "deeply saddened" by the loss of Barbara Bush, who died Tuesday at 92. "Both the wife and the mother of a U.S. President, she will be remembered for her service, pragmatism, and strong, kind spirit".

In 1990, Barbara Bush gave the commencement address at all-women Wellesley College. "I always think if the world could be full of Barbara Bushes the world would be a much better place". The friend introduced him to Barbara Pierce, a publisher's daughter from Rye who was going to school in SC.

Will Fiorentina continue the fight?
Another 16 goals brought Lorenzo Insigne, 13 goals went from Jose Callejon and 11 from Marek Hamšík. Forecasts Bookmakers consider Napoli as the main favorite - the coefficient for the victory of the hosts is 1.28.

Their first meeting left an indelible impression on young George Bush.

Johnson says Bush inspired "a "thousand points of light" of service to our country and was a beacon to us all".

"My reaction was I loved every person more because of Robin". She often spoke wistfully of a time when "drugs, sex, and violence were not constantly thrust at us by television".

Barbara Bush died Tuesday at 92.

And the White House Historical Association announced Tuesday that members of the public who wish to sign the official condolence book for Bush can do so beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Bush will lie in repose at Saint Martin's Church in Houston on Friday.

In a statement following Bush's death Tuesday, Melania Trump praised her 92-year-old predecessor for putting her "family and country above all else".

Barbara was the mother of six children, one of whom preceded her in death due to childhood leukemia. The couple went on to being married for 73 years - the longest marriage of any president in US history. "I'm not running for president - George Bush is", she said at the 1988 Republican National Convention, where her husband, then vice president, was nominated to succeed Ronald Reagan.
