Royal wedding: Meghan and Harry choose photographer with royal ties

US President Barack Obama delivers his farewell address

Kensington Palace announced on Friday that the couple had chosen Alexi Lubomirski to take the official photographs at Windsor Castle following the wedding at St. George's Chapel.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's official wedding photographer has said he is honoured to have the opportunity to capture the next chapter in the couple's "wonderful love story". Markle has always been a fan of the New York-based photographer, who is famous for his highly styled and artistic work, and has an impressive client list including Vogue, for which he has shot a number of global cover stars.

"I could not be more thrilled or honored to photograph this historic occasion", Lubomirski said in a press release from Kensington Palace.

He is descended from an influential Polish family who received the hereditary title of prince of the Holy Roman Empire from Emperor Ferdinand III in the 17th century.

He told Access at the Daily Front Row Fashion event this week that it was very special photographing their engagement and that he and his wife were looking forward to attending the couple's nuptials.

In the engagement photos, Markle, 36, wore a $75,000 black sheer gown by Ralph & Russo, while Harry, 33, donned a classic blue suit.

He was born in England and now lives in NY with his wife and children.
