ZTE Iceberg one-ups the notch trend by using two notches

ZTE-Iceberg-01

According to leaked images of the supposed "Iceberg" via WinFuture, the Chinese company looks to include not one but two cutouts on its upcoming phone that sit at both the top and bottom of the handset's front side. ZTE still managed to fit dual front-facing stereo speakers. Still, the fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back panel, alongside the dual-camera. However, up front, there's a almost bezel-less display that has two notches. It looks like a phone has been discovered on the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE website, showing off another ZTE device, with an unusual and daring design called the Iceberg. We've never heard of this device before today, but the renders come from the IF World Design Guide, which is a decent indication that they are probably legitimate. There is one at the top that houses the camera, earpiece, and sensor; and another at the bottom that houses yet another speaker. It's a unique look, but it's not the only unconventional part of the phone.

Oddly, there are also glass corners on this phone. The corners have clear glass "protrusions" that seem to stick out further than the normal corners.

Rather than having a metal chassis holding the front and rear glass together, another slab of glass seamlessly connects the front and rear glasses to make the phone feel like it's a "fragment of ice". The effect if attractive and mysterious. We don't know if it will ever graduate beyond concept.

There's not much more known about this phone, but the IF Design listing does mention a launch date "after 2018" with target regions including North America, Europe, and Asian markets.
