Antonio Conte sends a warning to the club

United pay the penalty

Antonio Conte and Eden Hazard have spoken about Chelsea's season after beating Manchester United 1-0 to lift the FA Cup.

Eden Hazard's 22nd minute penalty proved the difference between the teams to ensure Mourinho's second season at Old Trafford ends without a trophy.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte looks set to leave Stamford Bridge within the next 48 hours, according to a report from The Express.

Asked if he could have tried harder to enjoy a more stable relationship with his Chelsea superiors, Conte answered: "It's not simple, it's not simple to answer this question". There are quite a number of people out there who could tell you the name of Coventry City's 1987 left-back's next door neighbour's brother-in-law's milkman (Sid) who couldn't tell you who won the 2017 FA Cup (?).

As I said before Saturday's game, he would love to put the FA Cup on his CV and get one over Jose Mourinho at the same time.

The Blues have had a rather poor campaign this term after in a stuttering Premier League campaign finishing fifth on the table unable to qualify for the Champions League.

"I congratulated them because they won but I don't think they deserved to win", he added.

Deadly Hazard
Antonio Conte sends a warning to the club

"We are used to winning, I'm not saying that in an arrogant way". I think especially if you see how City and United are spending and working.

He said: "I have a contract and I'm committed for this club".

"We'll see what's going on and I am sure the board will do what needs to be done".

He has not been as effective this season for Chelsea as he was a year ago - but none of the Blues players have been. That came in the Blues' Premier League winning year of 2014 when he tallied 19. It wasn't easy but I'm very happy for our fans and my players.

"I am the first to accept every decision for the future".

After the match Hazard warned that Chelsea will have to be more ambitious in their approach if they want to win trophies in the future, but Conte insisted that his game plan was necessitated by the players now at his disposal.

Similar to Drinkwater, the German centre-back hasn't done all that much wrong since arriving at the club, but some of his displays in English football just haven't been particularly great either. Chelsea will have to sack him. Signing someone like Willian will surely be a good solution to that with the Brazilian a proven Premier League customer.

Didier Deschamps explains Lacazette & Martial World Cup squad omissions
Thomas Lemar-who has scored just three times for Monaco this year-is more of a surprise after his drop-off in form. His team-mate Florian Thauvin, who has excelled at Marseille after an unhappy spell at Newcastle, is in the squad.
