Arsenal remain interested in Jean Michael Seri with Unai Emery in charge

Arsenal FC transfer news Unai Emery close to making Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner his first Gunners signing

Unai Emery's first task as Gunners head coach will be to strengthen a side which aims to close the gap on their Premier League rivals next season, with defence a clear priority having conceded 51 times in the Premier League during Arsene Wenger's final season in charge.

Arsenal are interested in signing Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to Sky in Italy.

Pellegrini may only be 21, but the Roma ace has been in the thick of it this past season, making 28 Serie A appearances and showing plenty of potential as an aggressive, dynamic box-to-box midfielder.

Lichtsteiner's contract with Juventus expires this summer, and Emery has reportedly targeted the Swiss full-back to become his first signing.

Oregon Couple Unplugs Alexa After Private Conversation Is Recorded
Essentially, the Echo heard something that sounded like "Alexa", the name that wakes up Echo devices. The family reported that they were alerted by a colleague in Seattle who received an audio file.

Emery needs to get straight down to business and deal with the Jack Wilshere saga that has been going on for months now. He has £50 million to spend and has said, "we think we need to change little things-a few players", per David Hytner at the Guardian.

Emery could be looking at adding to his midfield ranks this summer as he looks to rebuild the squad following his arrival earlier in the week.

According to Football Italia, Pellegrini has a 25 million euros [£22 million] release clause which puts him well within Arsenal's budget, and Gianluca di Marzio claim fellow target Praet is also available at £22 million.

The Giallorossi already seem to have a contingency plan in place if Pellegrini ends up leaving, with Bryan Cristante earmarked as his replacement.
