Metro Exodus is described as an epic, story-driven first-person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.

Notably, that's 439 percent more profit and 673 percent more revenue than the company earned in the same quarter a year prior.

In the meantime, find more fuel for your cordite-huffing habit with the best FPS games on PC.

Metro Exodus is delayed into 2019, but we can still expect to see new gameplay from this year's E3.

There's no further explanation of the delay. Though no specific reason was given, THQ announced that Exodus would now launch sometime in Q1 2019. The game was supposed to release this autumn.

Metro Exodus involves players taking control of Artyom, a resistance fighter in a world decimated by nuclear fallout.

The title will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC when it is released in 2019.

In total, THQ Nordic has 54 projects in development, and the publisher said it wants to give developers the time they need to deliver the "expected customer experience" and build the IP.

Metro Exodus, the third game in the survival/horror/stealth/shooter series and the first to feature a more expansive open world, has been delayed. They began as self-published online works in 2002, and did not appear in English until a short time before the original game was released. It, however, did say that both the games are "still under evaluation for setting a release date".
