Russia, after Netanyahu visit, backs off Syria S-300 missile supplies

World Israel Has Carried Out Air Strikes On Several Iranian Bases in Syria

                By Desk Team

At least 11 Iranians were among those killed in unprecedented Israeli strikes on Syria this week, an activist group said on Saturday.

Iran has backed Syria's "right to defend itself" after Israel launched strikes on what it said was Iranian military infrastructure inside Syria.

Mr Rouhani did not mention Israel's strikes in Syria, or those against the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is to meet his "true friend" Donald Trump in Washington on March 5, 2018 during a visit that will take him away from swirling accusations of personal corruption and a government crisis roiling the Israeli scene. Hours later, Israeli rocket rockets targeted a military base in Kisweh, a commander in the pro-Syrian government regional alliance said.

At the same time, the government said it has tasked the president of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran with "taking all necessary steps in preparation for Iran to pursue industrial-scale enrichment without any restrictions, using the results of the latest research and development of Iran's courageous nuclear scientists".

Khatami, who has echoed sentiments of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei who says Israel will not exist in 25 years, said the Jewish state could face destruction if it continues to challenge Iran.

In Iran's first official reaction to the attack, a report in state-run IRNA yesterday quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi as saying the Israeli attack on Syria under "fabricated and baseless excuses" is a breach of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

In the meantime, a member of the Iranian parliament's commission on security and foreign policy, Abolfazl Hassan Beigi, emphasized that Tehran does not maintain a military presence in Syria.

"Push the Iranians to expel Qassem Soleimani and the IRGC forces, they will not help you, they will only hinder". Israel responded by attacking anti-aircraft positions in Syria, and an Israeli warplane was shot down during the battle.

In an interview with Russian Tass news agency, Syromolotov said that 20 people had been detained and 17 homes searched as weapons for an attack had been found in western Siberia.

"We are working with Iran to encourage it not to make any ill-considered steps and not to exit", Ushakov said.

Reports of unprecedented clashes between Israel and Iran over Syria have sparked calls for restraint from world leaders anxious about the risk of all-out war, even as both sides say they want to avoid a regional conflict.

US President Donald Trump's abandonment on Tuesday of a landmark global deal to curb Iran's nuclear programme - an agreement fiercely opposed by Mr Netanyahu - has certainly raised tensions.

They included one on an airbase in April that killed seven Iranian troops.

The Kremlin says that Russian Federation and its ex-Soviet allies will sign a free trade pact with Iran.

How will Iran sanctions affect business?

Trump said the 2015 nuclear deal that allowed for the lifting of sanctions wasn't tough enough on Iran.

Le Maire proposed creating a European body that would have the same kind of powers that the U.S. Justice Department has to punish foreign companies for their trade practices.

The sanctions issue has added to tensions between the USA and its European allies over the nuclear deal.

Its foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said "all issues should be solved through dialogue" and that Russian Federation had warned Israel to avoid "all actions that could be seen as provocative".

The economy of Iran, a big exporter of oil and gas, is likely to be adversely affected.
