"It's awful, it's just tough", said Williams when asked about the shooting that took the lives of eight students and two teachers.

A church group will host a gathering at a football stadium to honor those killed and injured during a Texas high school shooting.

The Astros will donate all proceeds of their Share2Care 50/50 raffle during their two-game series against the Giants to the Santa Fe Strong Memorial Fund.

The program trains people, using Federal Bureau of Investigation threat-assessment criteria, to go to schools and screen students, according to Billy Philips, an epidemiologist and director of the Office of Rural Health at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Students will return next Tuesday, Wall said.

Students on Wednesday were being given another opportunity to retrieve personal belongings from the school.

The students who survived the Parkland shooting weren't too young that they could be dismissed as being told what to say by adults (although that happened) or too old that they could be accused of having a political agenda (although that happened too). He faces murder charges.

The shooting at the Santa Fe high school in Texas reminds again of the damage gun violence does to us all.

Abbott, a Republican who has worked to expand gun rights in the state, called for the meetings as he weighs ideas for possible legislative action or executive orders.

Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said there are pros and cons to the idea. But critics say Texas isn't serious about changing its gun-loving culture.

On Wednesday, a lobbyist from the Texas State Rifle Association, affiliated with the National Rifle Association, will be participating with state lawmakers and education and law enforcement officials.

"We are dying on your watch".

In a Saturday interview with Greece's Antenna TV, Pagourtzis said he owned the guns used in the attack and Dimitrios took them from his closet. The letter was first published as an ad in the Houston Chronicle.

On Friday, 10 people died, including eight students, after a 17-year-old student opened fire at the school, which is located about 35 miles south of Houston.

His father says he owns guns but that the boy doesn't.

The governor has signed bills in recent years that reduced the cost and training to get a handgun license and allowed the state's 1.2 million license holders to openly carry their weapons in public.

Under Texas law, the maximum sentence for capital murder for those under 18 is a life sentence that allows for the prisoner to apply for parole after 40 years, according to Robert Dunham of the Death Penalty Information Center.

Pagourtzis, who business records show owns North American Marine Inc., a ship fix and industrial cleaning company in Houston, north of Santa Fe, told the Journal he struggled to get where he is today.

Sawed-off shotguns are illegal without a permit from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. It will include advocates both for and against further gun restrictions, mental health experts and social media experts, he said.
