Whoever arranged controversial interview is Nawaz's biggest enemy: Shehbaz Sharif

Indian media distorted Sharif's 26/11 statement- Pak PM

In February, the apex court also disqualified Sharif as the head of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Well-informed sources said, the lawmakers apprised Shehbaz Sharif their reservations on Nawaz Sharif's recent controversial statement on the Mumbai attacks with the apprehension that the negative atmosphere it created potentially affecting the upcoming election campaigning of the party candidates.

However, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi held a news conference soon after, saying the media had misquoted the former premier.

The petition alleged that Nawaz's statement was against the national security and state institutions.

The PML-N president promised to take their grievances to party supremo Nawaz Sharif, the report said. However, he also added that he will try and convince the PML-N supreme leader to consult the party before talking on sensitive matters, Dawn newspaper reported.

On May 12, Nawaz gave an interview to a local daily in which he had stated, "Militant organisations are active".

"We accepted these turncoats into our party as we felt that they will change in our company but to no avail", lamented Sanaullah before someone asks as to why PML-N accepted them in the first place.

PML-N's parliamentary leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was present in the Parliament House but did not attend the party's parliamentary meeting. He assured that narrative by Nawaz Sharif will soften over the time.

Taking a dig at former party men who formed Junoobi Punjab Sooba Mahaz and then joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sanaullah said that aliens produced these lotas (turncoats) who changed parties before every elections. He also apprised them over plan to table a constitutional amendment to merge the Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
