Anthony Bourdain's Ex Posts Photo Of Their 11-Year-Old Daughter's Performance

Anthony Bourdain’s remains won’t return to U.S. right away because of French formalities

Italian actress Asia Argento (R) and USA singer and actress Rose McGowan (L), who both accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, take part in a march organised by 'Non Una Di Meno (Not One Less) to mark the worldwide Women's Day in Rome, Italy on March 08, 2018.

Argento, 42, asked that her privacy and that of Bourdain's grieving family be respected.

In an interview with The New York Times following news of Bourdain's death, his mother, Gladys Bourdain, said she had no idea her son may have been contemplating ending his life.

He noted it was important he never shot in two cities back-to-back for his CNN series Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown so that he could spend five days a month with Ariane, who lives with Busia in NY with her mom. You must not sink to that level.

McGowan says Bourdain and Argento had a "free relationship" and "loved without borders of traditional relationships".

McGowan writes that when the pair met, it was instant chemistry, and that "he was her rock during the hardships of the last year" - but that Bourdain was open about his demons, and told a mutual friend that "he's never met anyone who wanted to die more than him". He explained, "I also do feel I have things to live for". Anthony's depression didn't let him, he put down his armor, and that was very much his choice. His decision, not hers.

The world was left in a state of shock when Anthony was found dead in his hotel room in France on Friday, June 8, during a day off from filming Parts Unknown. CNN will air the latest episode of "Parts Unknown", which finds its host in Hong Kong, tonight.

"Although they're separated, she'll be in charge of whatever happens", Gladys told the newspaper.

No Reservations followed Bourdain's 2002-03 Food Network series A Cook's Tour and also preceded his other Travel Channel show, The Layover (2011-13). "I hope you are having a good trip, wherever you are", Busia-Bourdain wrote in her first Instagram post since Bourdain's death by suicide last week. "You are loved and will be sorely missed". I have a message for those considering suicide as a solution to a temporary problem.

The two deaths sparked a public conversation about depression and suicide, leading to a 25% uptick in calls to suicide hotlines. "We needed you. Please come back".

On Friday, Argento mourned her boyfriend on social media.

One wrote: 'Wow! So she is strong. "His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds", Argento said. They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this a year ago.
