Beyond Good and Evil 2 new cinematic trailer and details

E3 2018 Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a Prequel and It Looks Amazing

Ubisoft has finally given up more Beyond Good & Evil 2 with a cinematic trailer featuring Jade's closest friend Pey'j. We finally saw Beyond Good and Evil 2 return at Ubisoft's E3 show past year, this time with no Jade and a focus on space pirates. They finish by showcasing new pre-alpha footage of the game, focusing on the city of Ganesha, from last years trailer.

At this point, the ship gets attacked by a huge vessel and boarded by a samurai sword-wielding Jade, yes Jade the main protagonist from the first game. "HitRECord is the ideal partner to collaborate with to create this expansive world by bringing our passionate communities together and bring it to life".

Back in 2017 we all got a surprise at E3 with the announcement that Beyond Good and Evil 2 was actually going to be a thing.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 still doesn't have a release date, but Ubisoft is holding a "Space Monkey Program" for the game, which provides regular updates about its progress and gives fans a chance to help shape the title. Teaming up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his production company HitRecord, the developer is giving fans the opportunity to create content for them game including poster designs, radio ads, and even music.

"[This] isn't just to post and promote something you've made on your own", said Gordon-Levitt.

This does feel a little bit different, as these will be assets in the core version of Beyond Good & Evil 2, not extras added later.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 does not have any scheduled release window or announced platforms, but we will keep our ears to the ground for any and all news on this anticipated game. Michel Ancel, the game's director, is also directing the upcoming prequel.

In terms of general atmosphere, Beyond Good and Evil 2 's most recent assets are very much in line with the cinematic trailer revealed past year.
