International House of... Burgers

After 60 years as IHOP, the International House of Pancakes has a new, burger-centric name.

For about a week, IHOP has been posting as "IHOb", and asking its fans to guess what the "b" stood for.

IHOb, announced the temporary change last week, but didn't reveal what it meant until Monday morning.

Turkel said the new name may get consumers to think of IHOP as an establishment that serves more than a breakfast meal.

After IHOP revealed the meaning behind its name change to IHOb on Monday, Wendy's went after the former pancake house on Twitter.

It tweeted, "dear internet we have officially changed our name to Cake-umm because Steak-umm just wasn't doing it for us anymore or something".

Jaguar Land Rover to move Discovery production to Slovakia
The Solihull plant will be converted to manufacture electric and hybrid cars which the company will switch to making from 2020. Fundamentally, the technology upgrade in Solihull will account for a third of the plant.

But Wendy's didn't buy it, and trolled the pancake-turned-burger house.

Twitter users also didn't think IHOP's switch to burgers cut the mustard either. The change is not permanent, a company spokeswoman said, but rather is a move to promote its new burger line.

IHOb's revamped menu features seven different specialty steakburgers: The Jalepeno Kick, Cowboy BBQ, Classic with Bacon, Mega Monster, Mushroom & Swiss, Big Brunch and The Classic.

IHOb is offering special deals on the new burgers included on its menu for a limited time.

It looks like IHOP isn't the only restaurant chain rebranding itself.

Well, the time is finally here and pancake enthusiasts may be surprised to find out that the "b" will actually stand for burger.
