Larry Kudlow had heart attack, Donald Trump says

Trump Larry Kudlow suffered heart attack

Larry Kudlow, the National Economic Council director, has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack, President Trump said Tuesday from Singapore.

Trump tweets that, "Our Great Larry Kudlow, who has been working so hard on trade and the economy, has just suffered a heart attack".

Kudlow's condition wasn't immediately released by Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Larry Kudlow was taken to a Washington-area hospital, Mr. Trump announced on Twitter. U.S. President Donald Trump says Kudlow suffered a heart attack on June 11.

"Here's the thing. He really kind of stabbed us in the back", Kudlow said on CNN Sunday.

Last week, Mr. Kudlow floated the possibility of dividing NAFTA talks and cutting separate bilateral deals with Canada and Mexico.

"It was a betrayal", Kudlow told Tapper of Trudeau having said in the news conference Saturday that Canada will "move forward with retaliatory measures" on July 1 in response to the Trump administration's decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, the European Union and Mexico. He previously worked as a host on CNBC, and before that as a banker and economic adviser in the Reagan administration. On Sunday, Kudlow said on CNN's "State of the Union" that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "really kind of stabbed us in the back" after criticizing USA tariffs on imported steel and aluminum and Trump's positions on trade in a news conference following the summit. His recovery was a great source of pride for him and for his friends, contributing to his upbeat manner.
