Robert De Niro apologizes to Canadians for Trump

Robert De Niro bleeped at Tony Awards for Trump F-bomb

"Robert De Niro just yelled "F*** Trump" on national television before introducing Bruce Springsteen, and I am absolutely here for it", one user wrote.

"Its disgusting. It's great to be here in Toronto", De Niro said to applause at the groundbreaking of Nobu Restaurant, Hotel and Residences on Mercer St.

While many Tony Awards audience members showed their support for De Niro, some celebs were critical of the remarks on social media.

In 2016, when Trump was the Republican presidential candidate, De Niro slammed him as "blatantly stupid", "totally nuts", and an "idiot". Garfield said during his acceptance speech, referencing the Supreme Court's decision to side with a Colorado baker who refused to make a cake for a same-sex couple. "It's no longer 'down with Trump, ' 'it's 'f_ Trump'".

Again, the CBS censors managed to bleep the phrase to keep it from the airing in the U.S.

Tony Awards recognises excellence in live Broadway theatre.

"Mr. De Niro's comments were unscripted and unexpected".

"Boy, do we need that now".

This isn't the first time De Niro has gone after Trump. "The offensive language was deleted from the broadcast".

Actor Robert De Niro, an outspoken Trump critic, went on a profanity-laced rant against Trump during Sunday night's Tony Awards. After leaving the summit, Trump quickly reneged on a joint communique after Trudeau reiterated to reporters that US tariffs on Canada that site national security as a rationale are "insulting" to Canadians. "I mean, if you are Donald Trump, it doesn't mean anything", he was quoted as saying at the event.
