Ronda Rousey suspended from RAW after violent outburst

Video: Ronda Rousey Suspended From WWE Following Vicious 'Attack'

This won't have too much of an impact on Monday Night RAW as, though she's had a few tussles, Rousey has yet to appear in a regularly scheduled match.

Rousey rallied - and even went to the top turnbuckle at one point - but Money In The Bank victor Alexa Bliss arrived and attacked Rousey and Nia Jax with the briefcase before cashing in the contract and taking the title.

Ronda Rousey didn't win the Raw Women's Championship last night because Alexa Bliss cashed in Money in the Bank and stole the title.

Alexa Bliss held a championship celebration on Raw this week, but she was interrupted by Ronda Rousey who attacked the Raw Women's Champion. Rousey followed up by putting Bliss through a table.

Though obviously "kayfabe", an industry term meaning "scripted", the segment made for compelling viewing as Rousey judo-threw her former mentor Kurt Angle to the floor and beat him with a briefcase by the turnbuckle.

WWE announced that Rousey has been suspended from Raw for 30 days as a punishment for the attack, which unfortunately means she won't be able to capitalize on the momentum she built over the weekend.

Rousey later took to the social media platform and apologized to Kurt Angle for her actions.

Jax will challenge Bliss for the title in a rematch at WWE Extreme Rules. It's not a bad one because she makes a good champion.

If WWE had the aim of bringing in the big audience right as tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off, they certainly accomplished that feat. Meanwhile, Dolph Ziggler showed the world just what he is capable of doing by winning the Intercontinental Title from Seth Rollins.
