What Court Docs Reveal About Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Custody Case

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016, claiming the separation was "for the health of the family".

Jolie, 42, specifically is frustrated that their custody issues continue to drag on, stalling the couple's ability to finalize their divorce, Page Six reported.

Angelina Jolie needs to start playing fair with her estranged husband Brad Pitt or she could risk losing custody of their children.

"It is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother", the judge said, according to The Blast.

According to People.com, Jolie will have to share each of her children's personal phone numbers with Pitt, allowing him the ability to call and text them at any time.

The Fight Club star will see the minor children in London, where Jolie is renting a house, for 10 days in mid-June where he can spend time with one or two of them for four hours per day. She is also barred from reading the children's text messages with their father and can not give out a number to a cell phone that she monitors. The court determined that Maddox, 16, was old enough to decide how he wants to split his time between his parents.

While the scheduling agreement states that Angelina is not allowed to be present during Brad's time with the kids, a child psychologist has to be.

The 43-year-old actress now has primary custody over the six children - Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

From July 8 through July 14, Pitt gets the kids for four consecutive days and gets to choose how he fills those time slots and with which children. "It is hard for her to be away from the kids, but she is working a lot this summer too, so she has no choice but to go along with the judge's orders and have faith that the kids time with Brad will be safe and good for them". In advance, Pitt shall designate one or two of the minor children to spend time with at a time. The therapist will meet with the children before and after each two-day period.

In the year since, the couple have continued to finalize their custody arrangements and divorce. That proximity has allowed the children visit their father "a few times a week" - when they are in town.

"Brad and Neri are still very much in each other's lives, although not as much as he would like", a friend of the pair told Us Weekly in May. On July 21, the kids will travel back to Los Angeles to be with their dad, before heading back across the pond on July 29 to join their mother. In late July, they'll be with him in L.A. for about a week.
