Brexit plan 'may kill' USA trade deal: Donald Trump

UK Government preparing for Anti Trump protests as “if London was burning down

US President Donald Trump insists that he did not criticise British Prime Minister Theresa May during an interview this week with The Sun newspaper in which he questioned the United Kingdom leader's handling of Brexit.

US President Donald Trump has lobbed a verbal hand grenade at Theresa May saying the British PM has wrecked the UK's exit from the European Union and killed any chances of a free trade deal with the US.

Donald Trump has heaped praise on "incredible" Theresa May and hailed UK-US relations as the "highest level of special" hours after incendiary comments criticising her premiership.

But on Friday, Trump gave a press conference with May in which he said on Brexit, "Whatever you're going to do is OK with us".

Britain's Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson arrives at 10 Downing Street in London, Britain, July 3, 2018.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of last night's gala dinner at Blenheim Palace, Trump said the prime minister's soft Brexit blueprint will mean the end of any future trade deal with the US.

A 20-foot inflatable blimp depicting President Donald Trump as an orange, angry baby was approved for flight over Edinburgh during a protest on Saturday.

Trump then heads to Windsor Castle later Friday for tea with Queen Elizabeth II. I never said anything bad about her. "I didn't criticize the prime minister".

Other protests about the visit are taking place around the country.

On Friday morning, POTUS held talks and a working lunch with May at her country retreat of Chequers, after excoriating her Brexit strategy, while Melania took time out during the couple's four-day visit to Britain to meet veterans and make paper flowers with schoolchildren. So I think allowing millions and millions of people to come into Europe is very, very sad. "I used to love London as a city".

Trump also reignited his feud with London mayor Sadiq Khan, who has repeatedly blamed for terrorism and personally blamed for immigration into the capital, despite the mayor having no control over immigration policy.

"He's been saying very good things about me as president".

"I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London", he told the Sun newspaper.
