Chicago Bulls nearing a deal with Jabari Parker

Reports Jabari Parker on verge of offer sheet from Bulls

He tore that same ACL again after appearing in 51 games during the 2016-17 season, returning last February, averaging 12.6 points and 4.9 rebounds down the stretch while shooting 48.2 percent from the field.

Bulls general manager Gar Forman went as far as to call the Parker signing "a natural fit". The second year of the deal is a team option, league sources said, which lowers the risk on Chicago based on Parker's two ACL injuries and gives both sides the flexibility to turn a short-term relationship into a long-term deal should Parker stay healthy and productive next season.

"Jabari is a 23-year-old player who is a natural fit with our young core, and is a proven scorer at the National Basketball Association level", general manager Gar Forman said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming him back to his hometown".

The Milwaukee Bucks and Jabari Parker have reached an agreement for the team to rescind its qualifying offer, making Parker an unrestricted free agent.

The good news for Parker is that the restricted free agent market for a ton of players has been awfully slow, so his patience might be rewarded.

Jabari Parker #12 of the Milwaukee Bucks heads to the locker room after the game against the Boston Celtics in Game Six of Round One of the 2018 NBA Playoffs on April 26, 2018 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Bartelstein praised the Bucks for "working side-by-side with us". Jabari Parker is coming home. And the Bulls are hoping Parker's injuries are behind him. The Bulls announced they had released guard Julyan Stone and forward Paul Zipser.
