"We'll be turning off the Playground LTM on Thursday, July 12th as we take it back under construction for the next version".

Fortnite Playground mode at last launched properly earlier this week after teething problems with the LTM.

"The Playground LTM represents our first step into what a full creative mode looks like in Fortnite", it said.

Confirmation came on the official Epic Twitch account, plus more details were provided on Reddit's FortniteBR subreddit, where the company said that it is already working on "the next version" of Playground.

Other than with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Trump has no other bilateral meetings scheduled. Why not? When you started talking, it went like a rocket ship.

The Fortnite Playground limited time mode finally got underway for real this week and has managed to run along pretty well since. While Epic Games usually keeps its plans under wraps, only revealing features at their imminent release, when it comes to the new Playground v2 mode, the devs have proven very open about the planned changes and improvements.

Fortnite developer Epic has announced the temporary closure of the game's sandbox mode, Playground, to take place on July 12. Players have mostly been using the time to tinker with the game's building mechanics, and have already created some pretty insane stuff.

The next version of Playground is expected to feature new functionality that will allow players to select teams from within Playground. For example, some fans have used Playground Mode to recreate the popular Nuketown multiplayer map from the Call of Duty: Black Ops franchise.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
