Facebook Shutting Down tbh, Moves, Hello Apps

Facebook to shutter three of its mobile applications, including ‘Moves’ fitness tracking

Lastly, the tbh anonymous social media app for high school students in the United States was acquired just previous year. Moves will shutdown on July 31st. Also like any other huge corporation, Facebook sometimes abandons those companies shortly thereafter without doing much with what they had to offer.

They might have made up some excuse or PR-sounding reason for shutting three apps down, but it looks like Facebook is opting for the most honest one. This Android-only app was only available in Brazil, the U.S. and Nigeria. Hello was an app specifically for people in Brazil, the United States, and Nigeria where Android users can combine their contacts' Facebook information with the contact details that are in your phone.

Unfortunately for Facebook, people are quite keen on gadgets - particularly wrist-worn fitness trackers, which provide far more data than just speed, distance and estimated calorie burn.

Launched in 2014, the fitness app "Moves" was curated to record the daily physical activities of users, including walking, cycling and running. Last but not least, tbh is another app acquired by Facebook previous year, an anonymous social media app for high school students in the United States. It had been lauded for its simple design user interface, as well as its accuracy.

"We regularly review our apps to assess which ones people value most", the post reads. But we need to prioritize our work so we don't spread ourselves too thin. This leads me to think that these three apps may have had issues with the latter and Facebook may have chosen to pull the plug before one of them caused the next privacy scandal.

The company announced that it is discontinuing three of its mobile applications. It's only by trial and error, Facebook says, that they'll create great social experiences for people. Since you've probably never heard of it, we'll let you know that Hello was a dialer app that would allow users to combine info from their Facebook with details on their phones.
