LeBron James Officially Signs Contract With Lakers

Lakers' GM, Rob Pelinka met with James at what looks to be his home out in Los Angeles to sign the contract and make things official.

Blaze Pizza is celebrating the arrival of new L.A. Lakers player LeBron James by throwing a "pizza party" in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, complete with - of course - free pizza.

The Lakers officially announced their signing of Stephenson, who once famously blew into James' ear while the two were next to each other in an attempt to do anything to throw James off his game. Presumably, a lot of people in Los Angeles were already big fans of pizza, thanks to pizza being delicious as heck.

"This is a historic moment for the Lakers and we could not feel more grateful and honored", Pelinka said. However, we all know that the work is not yet done.

The Lakers signed James, Stephenson, Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee and re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to go with a young core that includes Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart. "We will continue forward and do all that is necessary to achieve our shared obsession of bringing banner number 17 to the world's best fans - Lakers Nation".

James was third in the National Basketball Association last season with 27.5 points a game, matched his career high with 8.6 rebounds and was second in the National Basketball Association with a career-high 9.1 assists while shooting 54.2 percent from the floor.

Lakers coach Luke Walton reportedly was scheduled to meet Monday with James' former coach, Tyronn Lue, at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas to learn more about coaching the future Hall of Famer. Last season was his first in which he played in all 82 regular-season games, and the eighth in a row in which his team advanced to the Eastern Conference finals (four in Miami before each of the last four seasons in Cleveland).
