MS Dhoni's acrobatics to run-out James Vince sets Twiiter on fire

Roy suffered a laceration to his right hand little finger during practice on Monday. He will undergo a fitness test before the game

Vince, dropped from the Test team at the start of the summer, scored over 500 runs in Hampshire's victorious Royal London One Day Cup campaign this summer and may have the chance to add to his previous four ODI innings due to Alex Hales' injury and Dawid Malan's involvement with England Lions.

England were thrashed in the first ODI of the series last week after wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav picked up a six-for in Trent Bridge.

Morgan finished on 88 not out off 108 balls, including nine boundaries and a six.

England, who will be bidding to win the World Cup for the first time when they stage next year's edition, had said they would treat Tuesday's match as a dress rehearsal for a winner-takes-all game at the showpiece tournament.

And with England sources yesterday suggesting the opener was "70-30" not to play in the final match of three, Vince is in line to be drafted in as his replacement for his first ODI since 2016 in Bangladesh.

Fittingly, they were guided to a 2-1 series victory by an unbroken third-wicket... But Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan then increased the scoring rate as India took 68 from the next 10 overs.

Dhawan was run out for 44 by a brilliant piece of fielding from Ben Stokes and India lost wickets at regular intervals.

England then missed a chance to dismiss Kohli when the India captain, on 23, edged a drive against off-spinner Moeen Ali only for wicket-keeper Jos Buttler to drop a hard catch.

Leg-spinner Rashid grabbed the prize scalp of Kohli who fell to a beauty that pitched on leg and clipped the top of off stump to leaving the prolific right-hander wide-eyed in disbelief. The hosts will look to bag the bragging rights ahead of the five-match Test series starting from August 1.

Dinesh Karthik, preferred to KL Rahul for this match, then made 21 from 22 balls before he was bowled between bat and pad by Rashid going for a booming drive. "From that point there was no let up".

"It feels fantastic", Root told Sky Sports.

MS Dhoni tried to restore the innings but in the last two games he has looked like a man swimming against the tide.
