Phillies get INF Cabrera from Mets for pitching prospect

Asdrubal Cabrera Amed Rosario Francisco Cervelli

He wasn't about to wait until Tuesday's trade deadline to make a move that would improve the first-place Phillies.

Cabrera, 32, has looked outstanding at the plate so far this season, slashing.277/.329/.488 with 18 home runs and an.817 OPS through 407 PA.

The Phillies play at Cincinnati this week. The Mets traded second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, and McNeil has started all three games at second since as the Mets prove that they are serious in giving McNeil a real opportunity as an everyday starter. Sources told The Athletic and MLB.com that the Mets landed Double-A pitcher Franklyn Kilome in the deal.

India's PM Modi congratulates Imran Khan on election victory
Since the MMA has 12 seats, the combined seats of the PPP, PML-N and MMA become 117. There are 13 independents who have won the NA seats.

The Mets signed Cabrera as a free agent before the 2016 season, and he has been one of their most dependable hitters ever since.

The Phillies face former Mets starter Matt Harvey, who Cabrera has never matched up against before.

A 12-year Major League Baseball veteran, Cabrera is hitting.277 with 18 homers and 58 RBI on the season. The 23-year-old right-hander was 4-6 with a 4.24 ERA in 19 appearances with the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils this season.
