Skyrim Switch mod support is not looking likely right now

Fast Travel Will Feature as Normal in Fallout 76

One of the purposes of Bethesda in following this strategy is to create ports like Fallout Shelter as substitutes.

"Even now, the amount of people who play Skyrim seven years later; millions of people every month are playing that game", said Howard.

Howard went on to say that he and the studio want to bring mod support to Skyrim on Switch, but it is not something they are actively working on. "Right now we're doing nothing", he said. While it's disappointing that mods and Fallout 4 won't be coming to Switch any time soon, it does seem like Bethesda wants them to eventually, perhaps after development slows down for their bigger titles.

Switch fans will definitely be disappointed by these statements, but it looks like they may integrate it in the near future.

Todd is still very happy with how the Creation Club has fared on other consoles, but sees plenty of room for improvement. "We are still pushing on making that easily available to everybody", he said during his on-stage Gamelab talk with Geoff Keighley, host of The Game Awards. Currently, Bethesda is doing nothing to fix the problem, as their attention is focused elsewhere, like the recently released Fallout Shelter on Switch.

"Corporately we've done a mix; people forget sometimes".

Mod support has been - and will be - a fundamental part of Bethesda Game Studios games going forward. Remember their Fallout 76 Service Based Model?

Are you fussed about having mods in Skyrim? So, those that picked up Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch were expecting equal or similar support for their version of the game. Nonetheless, when it finally did arrive, Skyrim fit Switch as we'd hoped, and the ability to play on trains and planes and the toilet, was delightful.
