Tina Turner's oldest son Craig found dead at 59

Music icon Tina Turner and her family is now mourning the sudden death of her firstborn son Craig who reportedly shot himself on Tuesday.

Craig was found dead by authorities inside his Studio City, California, home, just after noon on Tuesday. Tina is now outside of her home in Switzerland and attending events at Paris Fashion Week but there's been no official statement from her about her son's heartbreaking death. Throughout Craig's early life, Ike and Tina Turner maintained a rocky, abusive relationship.

In a 2005 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Turner stated that Craig was "a very emotional kid" and offered support for her during her physically abusive relationship with Ike.

Craig was in real estate in the San Fernando Valley.

Tina gave birth to Craig when she was 18 and he was adopted by her ex-husband Ike Turner when they got married.

Tina Turner, 78, now resides in Switzerland after renouncing her US citizenship.
