Walmart lists 'Impeach 45' shirts & baby onesies, boycott threatened

Trump supporters boycott Walmart for selling 'Impeach 45' clothing

USA retail giant Walmart has come under fire after angry shoppers spotted a T-shirt range being sold on its third-party website calling for Donald Trump to be impeached.

America's favorite discount store, Walmart, landed in the middle of politically-fueled boycotts Monday when the company began selling Impeach 45 t-shirts.

The "Impeach 45" clothing was still available on Walmart's website as of Tuesday morning.

The shirts that come in several shades, plus similar baby onesies and even frisbees, spurred a grassroots call to boycott the world's biggest retailer. He asked the company in a tweet, "What kind of message are you trying to send?"

Sellers on the website offer a slew of other politicized products, including "IMPEACH OBAMA" and "IMPEACH NIXON" license plates, though some of those listings also appeared to be removed.

There are a few companies selling Impeach 45 apparel, including the company Old Glory. The number refers to President Donald Trump, who is the 45th president.

Facebook Bug Gave Blocked Users Access to Your Posts and Photos
For example, their relationship may have changed or they may want to take a break from someone posting content they find annoying. It temporarily unblocked people on Facebook Messenger, whom users had earlier blocked from sending messages to them.

The hashtag #BoycottWalmart was among the top-trending topics in the United States on the social media site, racking up more than 50,000 tweets by mid-afternoon.

These items are usually sold through Walmart Marketplace, which hosts third-party sellers.

Walmart has not commented on the merchandise. "Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required", noted The Wrap.

Teespring had their shirts pulled off the Walmart website days later.

In the past, Walmart has issued statements after these incidents saying: "This item was sold by a third-party seller on our marketplace and clearly violates our policy".
