World's Ugliest Dog Dies Weeks after Winning Title

- Zsa Zsa, the English bulldog who won the title of "World's Ugliest Dog", has passed away.

Brainard said she named the pooch after Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor because she liked to lie on the couch "like a handsome model". He says she appeared fine the day before, so it was a shock.

A dog that became famous for her looks has died just weeks after being crowned the World's Ugliest Dog. She was 9-years-old.

Before joining the Brained family, Zsa Zsa was in a puppy mill for five years, then was later saved by a local rescue, according to her owner.

Recent updates from Brainard have shown Zsa Zsa being doted on by children - who also took on the job of brushing the dog's jutting teeth.

Their economic commitment represents far more than that, given that Ronaldo will draw a salary of some €30m a year in Turin. Brazil legend Pele even also took the chance to congratulate Cristiiano Ronaldo on his switch to the Serie A .

Even though Zsa Zsa gained fame as the World's Ugliest Dog - which resulted in press appearances like a June 25 Today show segment - she had humble beginnings. We were all saying our goodbyes and Mareslie went right over and gave her a kiss.

The victor of this year's World's Ugliest Dog Contest had always been a fighter. Brainard named the sweet, lovable pup after the Hollywood legend Zsa Zsa Gabor, because the pretty pooch enjoyed lounging on the couch "like a lovely model". It was sweet. She was waving at her, ' Megan said.

Zsa Zsa is known for her pink toenails and long tongue.

She was laid to rest at home by Megan, her husband Jesse and their 15-month-old daughter Mareslie.
