Ex Man United star set to make a shock move to Chelsea

Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Watford at Selhurst Park

The Sun are reporting that Maurizio Sarri is close to landing Zaha after Tottenham pulled put of the race to sign the former Man United player due to the fee being quoted.

It has been claimed Zaha has told his team-mates he wants to leave but Hodgson has denied the speculation.

"The thing with Wilf is very simple; he's very much an integral part of our plans, he's very much an integral part of Crystal Palace Football Club".

"I spoke to Wilf yesterday and he certainly gave me no indication it was true about wanting to quit the club".

'In fact, we were talking about how good the new signings were and how they would help us. He's very much an integral part of our plans.

The Mirror Sport is reporting that the Ivory Coast global has told his Palace teammates of his plans, and would be willing to submit a transfer request should the club continue to price him out of a move.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Marca, Valencia are thought to be very interested in signing Leicester winger Demarai Gray, but surely Tottenham should be challenging the La Liga club for his signature.

He is settled in London and showed his ability last campaign by hitting nine goals and providing three assists for Roy Hodgson's side.

It's no surprise that he is the subject of transfer rumours after so many match-winning performances last term; however, it is surprising that no one has made a formal bid for the Palace star since the end of the season.

That is unlikely to change whether or not Chelsea make a move to sign him before Thursday's deadline as they have so far been unwilling to offer more than £30m plus players on loan.
