LeBron James responds to Trump by highlighting 'I Promise' school

Michael Jordan announces Tar Heels football will wear Jordan brand from now

Attack one man, teammate or opponent, and the other will have his back.

The first lady, however, is apparently unaffected by the animus James has toward her husband, nor does she appear to be letting the President's statement about James affect her own feelings on the matter.

President Trump at a rally in Pennysylvania earlier this week.

"Sports has never been something that divides people", James told Lemon.

"Kind of?" Lemon said, followed by a chuckle. According to TMZ, she released a statement praising LeBron for his philanthropy and support of students in need.

Donald Trump picked an odd time to weigh in on the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James debate.

This is not the first time James and the president have been at odds.

Last year, Mr Trump rescinded an invitation for National Basketball Association champions Golden State Warriors to visit the White House after team captain Stephen Curry questioned the billionaire's presidency. Earlier this year, she said that she "hates to see" immigrant children separated from their parents at the USA border, a policy decision made by Donald Trump earlier this year. Lemon said on Twitter. "So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honour until you showed up!"

Tristian Thompson Reportedly Punched Draymond Green at ESPYs After Party
However, a report by The Athletic seems to indicate that it was more of a push or rather, a "face mush" than an actual punch. Of course, this rumor has not been confirmed and it's unclear exactly what happened between Thompson and Green.

It all started on a quiet Friday night, when CNN re-aired Don Lemon's interview with LeBron James. The interview took place at James' "I Promise" school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

He later said Trump's rhetoric was harmful in the wake of violence in Charlottesville a year ago, where white supremacists and counterprotesters clashed and one woman was killed.

It came after the LA Lakers star accused Mr Trump of being divisive in a CNN interview. He also opined that the president was "using sports to kinda divide us".

"Sports was the first time I was ever around someone white", James said. "I couldn't let that happen". "#BeBest", Lemon tweeted Saturday morning.

It looks like President Donald Trump, 72, is ready for another celebrity Twitter feud! It's a disgrace. It's racist. And it's the product of petty but risky hatreds.

"But I think the President in charge now has given people - they don't care now, they throw it to your face".

Michael Jordan also spoke out in support of James, according to The Associated Press and CNN.
