Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro announced

PS4 Pro 500 Million Play Station 4 1

The 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 will also be available as a standalone for $64.99/€64 or the regional equivalent, and a 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset will be available separately at $99.99/€89 or equivalent.

We're sure that means an increase in the weekly allocation of champagne at Sony HQ, but for ordinary gamers there's a different way to celebrate: buying the new PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition console.

Today, Sony announced that they've sold over 525 million PlayStation consoles worldwide - an impressive feat, for sure. To celebrate the milestone, the company is launching a Limited Edition 500 Million version of the PS4 Pro.

Finally, you'll find copper plating on the front of the console that features its serial number.

However, if you already own a PS4 Pro and you just want the controller, you're in luck.

For starters, the 500 Million Limited Edition features a translucent design in a catching dark blue paint job with matching DualShock 4 controller.

Although it's a normal PS4 Pro in most respects it's the first one ever to come with a 2TB hard drive as standard and has a unique dark blue translucent casing and gold lettering. Congrats to Sony for that.

I'm not sure I'd run out and pick this up. Still, this is a great looking system that would look good in just about anywhere.

If you're going to pick one up, be prepared to plop down $499.99 - it's not exactly cheap, but it's also worth keeping in mind that Sony is only making 50,000 of these. And much like the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition, I think you know what happened to most of those.
