North Korea said to be working on new missiles

According to The Post, the officials said the new information reveals that work is potentially taking place on one or two liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missiles in Sanumdong, a suburb of Pyongyang.

Spy satellites have picked up new activity at the North Korean site that made the country's first intercontinental missiles, according to a senior USA official.

According to the USA official who spoke to Reuters, one photo showed a truck and covered trailer similar to those the North has used to move its ICBMs.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also acknowledged during a Senate testimony on July 25 that North Korean factories "continue to produce fissile material" used in making nuclear weapons, although he declined to say whether Pyongyang is building new missiles.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un agreed during his meeting with Trump to "work toward" the "denuclearization" of the Korean Peninsula.

The intelligence finding draws a sharp contrast with Trump's proclamation after his summit meeting with Kim in Singapore that North Korea was "no longer a Nuclear Threat". Most died on the battlefield and were buried in shallow graves or in cemeteries that were meant to be temporary, but some also perished in POW camps run by North Korea or China, experts say.

North Korea is reportedly continuing to build missiles at a research facility despite its leader's pledge to work toward "peace and prosperity" on the Korean Peninsula, The Washington Post reported on Monday night.

More than 60 years after the last shot in the Korean War, the USA military prepared to fly home Wednesday what is believed to be the remains of more than 50 servicemen after the first such handover by North Korea in more than a decade. However, just as in the case of all the supposed chemical and biological weapons sites in Iraq, US intelligence agencies have in the past declared that certain sites within North Korea were secret nuclear facilities, when further investigation showed less threatening answers.

Donald Trump offers to meet Iran without preconditions
Iran's compliance with the 2015 deal has been repeatedly confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency. What do the United States and Iran disagree on? "So many things have happened so positive", Mr Trump said.

North Korea has already made two of its ICBMs at that plant.

The official added: "We remain concerned about the scale of North Korea's illicit procurement, in particular of refined petroleum products via UN-prohibited ship-to-ship transfers".

Furthermore, new evidence shows ongoing construction at missile factories, including advancements on ICBMs capable of hitting the U.S. East Coast.

The Trump administration, as part of the Singapore agreement, is pursuing discussions with North Korea on resuming those "field activities", for which past administrations have paid millions of dollars in donated vehicles, equipment, food and cash at the request of the North Koreans.

The commander of US Forces Korea, General Vincent Brooks, said at the recent Aspen Security Forum that North Korea's "production capability is still intact".

"It's my duty to provide assurance for all countries in the world, Asia, including North Korea, that the safety in Indonesia is stable".

The meeting, the second since June and held in the border village of Panmunjom, was created to follow on from an inter-Korean summit in April at which leaders of the two Koreas agreed to defuse tension and halt "all hostile acts".

The June 12 joint declaration signed by Trump and Kim in Singapore essentially restates what Kim committed to in Panmunjom.
