Trump taunts LeBron James on Twitter: 'I Like Mike'

How Le Bron James taught players on his son's team to accept their roles

LeBron James thinks President Trump is using athletics, and athletes, to split up the country.

"I can't sit back and say nothing", James said in his CNN interview. This recent feud with the most powerful man in the world started when James accused Trump of dividing the nation through sports.

Silver added that Michael Jordan - along with James the main topic of debate for the title of "Greatest of All Time" - was also interested in attending in the future, much like legends Hakeem Olajuwon, Dikembe Mutombo and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar have done.

James has continued to be critical of the president and his policies, and in June, while still a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, James said neither his team nor the rival Warriors would accept an invitation to the White House after winning the National Basketball Association championship. "(Is) he's kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to".

Prior to that, Donald Trump referred to LeBron as both a "great player and a great guy", as record states.

As of late Friday night, James had not responded to the president's tweet.

China says fully prepared for US threats on escalating trade war
The tariffs discussed in this week's pronouncements are still in the threat stage; they have not yet taken effect. After the earlier tariffs $34 billion of US goods, about $120 billion is available for retaliation.

James was also drawn to Los Angeles by the appeal of playing for one of the league's most storied programs and the chance to work with Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, the Lakers' president and a player James idolized since he was a kid.

Lemon's questions mostly focused on James's time off the court, covering the I Promise model inspired by James's childhood search of sanctuary away from crime and violence in Akron.

Lemon responded Saturday morning by calling out the president's controversial immigration policies.

With CNN anchor Don Lemon, James criticized Trump for using sports to divide the public. Trump tweeted his LeBron venom a day before making a trip to, you guessed it, Ohio. He also called him a "so-called president" in the wake of the Charlottesville violence.

James played for over a decade - and in two stints - with the Cleveland Cavaliers and delivered a title to the championship-starved region in 2016.

"I don't have to tell (asterisk) anyone (asterisk) what LeBron James means to Ohio", Democrat Danny O'Connor tweeted.
