Utility worker killed near Northern California wildfire

Flames from Carr Fire in Shasta County on Monday

"Yes, we have plenty of water", CalFire Chief Scott McLean said by telephone, adding that the two largest blazes in California this week - the Carr Fire and the Mendocino Complex Fire - were each ringed by at least three major reservoirs.

A seventh death has been reported in the battle against the Carr Fire.

So far this year, USA fires have burnt 5 million acres, much more than the 10-year average, according to the National Interagency Fire Center.

It is only 30% contained so far, with authorities warning it could take another week to get the blaze under control.

The fire comes as California firefighters continue to struggle to contain the deadly Carr Fire to the north of the Mendocino Fires.

"California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren't allowing massive amount of readily available water to be properly utilized", Trump wrote on Twitter.

"It is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean", the president tweeted Sunday.

About two-thirds of the worldwide reinforcements in Redding were sent to the Mendocino Complex Fires, U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Kerry Greene said, and the remaining third stayed nearby to fight the Carr Fire.

THE FACTS: Trump is raising an old dispute in California, the country's top farm state: the competition for water between agricultural and environmental groups, fishermen and others who want more water for wildlife and habitat. Henri Grissino-Mayer, a geography professor at the University of Tennessee, said he had "no clue" what Trump was referring to in his tweet.

"The water that reaches the ocean is what's left after we've diverted most of the water away for cities and farms, and what little is left is barely enough for California's aquatic ecosystems and the fisheries", he said.

Cleveland Browns trade former Baylor WR Corey Coleman to Buffalo Bills
The 24-year-old has been limited to 19 games through his first two seasons because of injury. "I feel like it's important". National Football League teams are also scrambling to adjust their rosters in anticipation for the start of the season.

CBN News' Heather Sells is in California covering the wildfires.

Their numbers were bolstered by the arrival of nearly 150 colleagues from Australia and New Zealand on Monday.

"Battling these relentless fires requires a Herculean effort", California Gov.

Meanwhile, firefighters are battling more than a dozen other major fires amid California's hot and dry weather.

Two small blazes burning through Northern California have grown at breathtaking speed to form a massive inferno, quickly becoming the largest active wildfire in the state.

The frequent fires through this region, which have seen less national media attention than those that have burned through communities such as Redding and Santa Rosa, have hampered the local economy, with businesses struggling to stay staffed while employees endure repeated evacuations.

The fire has now spread to more than 163,000 acres and is only 45 percent contained, according to the department. And it prompted the indefinite closure of some of the most popular parts of Yosemite National Park, officials announced on Sunday. Mandatory evacuations are in place in Wawona and throughout the Yosemite Valley. "These hazards, along with extreme fire behavior and frequent weather changes, have made this an extremely hard fire fight", according to the NPS statement.

Both fires began on July 27.

It has burned approximately 273,664 acres, and grew around 70 percent over the weekend.
