Hailey Baldwin Responds to Wedding Rumors Amid Speculation of Tying the Knot

"And they didn't. I think they love him more than me", Baldwin joked.

Bieber popped the question to Baldwin while on vacation in the Bahamas. Even though it's not official yet, it's still time to dry those tears, Jelena fans, because Bieber and Baldwin's marriage will be a new chapter in star studded romance.

A source told ET at the time that while Bieber and Baldwin did register for a marriage license, they were only getting a license and did not have a marriage ceremony.

"They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone", a source close to the couple told the magazine.

Baldwin said in the same interview that she and Bieber were aiming for a 2019 wedding date, but, as we now know, that's apparently been nixed in favor of a courthouse quickie.

As for rumors the couple rushed to get married because she's expecting, they aren't true.

Twenty-four-year-old Bieber wrote of his 21-year-old bride-to-be: "Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!" Actually, yes, according to psychologists and sociologists. News, among others, have verified through sources that the pair were indeed married. Should the lovebirds want to get married overseas, they would have to have a civil service in the state first to make it legal.

In July, Bieber confirmed his engagement to Baldwin in an Instagram post, describing her as "the love of my life".

According to a report from E! As Teen Vogue reports, modern marriages require work and negotiation - and the maturity to navigate the challenges of life together. Bieber's younger sister might be their flower girl. Many people, especially those who married young themselves (and stayed married), will tell you that age is just a number.
